Picapella, the Pico Players Chamber Choir, is celebrating its 1st birthday and our recent success at the Bangor International Choral Festival.

A family friendly affair - a slightly shorter concert with an hour of music followed by drinks in the church courtyard. Ideal for both younger audience members to get home afterwards, and for those of you wishing to enjoy the summer sun after the concert!

Experience a vibrant evening of Malcolm Arnold’s Four Scottish Dances, Strauss’s dazzling Oboe Concerto featuring our own Jenny Axtell, and the sweeping power of Dvořák’s 7th Symphony.

Experience a vibrant celebration of bold rhythms and lyrical invention, with Copland’s spirited Outdoor Overture, Gershwin’s jazz-tinged Piano Concerto performed by the wonderful Simone Tavoni, and Dvořák’s masterful Symphonic Variations.

The Pico Players are thrilled to return to Smith Square Hall with an electric programme featuring the infamous Tchaikovsky's 5th symphony, Chabrier’s España, and a special performance of Weber’s Clarinet Concerto!

Join us at St Mark's for an evening of outdoor festive carols, mulled wine, and Christmas cheer as our choir & orchestra members sing accompanied by a Pico brass ensemble! 🎄🍷🎶

The Pico Players are thrilled to perform in Cadogan Hall for their tenth-anniversary celebration. As befitting a celebration, the programme includes the first piece they performed in concert, Rossini’s Overture to The Italian Girl in Algiers, followed by the world premiere of a piece commissioned specifically for this concert, The Big Bang, written by resident composer/conductor Leo Geyer. The concert concludes with The Planets by Gustav Holst who celebrates his 150th anniversary.

The Pico Wind Quartet is back! Experience an enchanting afternoon of classical music as some of our wind players bring fresh life to timeless works! Featuring unique wind arrangements of J.S. Bach's The Well-Tempered Clavier, Telemann’s Trio Sonata, and lively pieces by Fuchs, Warlock, Rubtsov, and Seiber, this concert blends elegance with spirited charm. A delightful showcase of Baroque brilliance, Romantic melody, and modern twists, don't miss this vibrant celebration of rich musical traditions.
